Alyson Hannigan responds to Taylor Swift mention in ‘So High School’ song

Actress Alyson Hannigan recently shared her excitement about Taylor Swift’s song “So High School,” which references her iconic role in the movie “American Pie.” In a new interview with Vulture, Hannigan expressed her admiration for Swift and her music, revealing that she had eagerly awaited the release of Swift’s album. She recounted how she listened to the album without any interruptions and was thrilled to hear “So High School,” a song that mentions her and Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

Reflecting on the surreal experience of hearing Swift sing about her, Hannigan shared that she initially thought she was dreaming when she heard the lyrics. She excitedly woke up her family to share the news and called a friend to have a “nice freakout” together. Hannigan even mentioned how Swift had liked a post on Instagram where she and her former “Dancing With the Stars” partner, Sasha Farber, were listening to the song in the car. The actress jokingly questioned why Swift had not liked the post on her own feed.

The song “So High School” is part of the extended anthology version of Swift’s album, “Tortured Poets Department,” along with another track titled “The Alchemy.” Fans speculate that these songs allude to Swift’s relationship with Kelce, especially with lyrics mentioning football games and trophies. Swift’s storytelling and lyrical prowess have once again captured the attention of audiences, including Alyson Hannigan, who found herself unexpectedly entwined in the singer’s love story.
