Babydog bobbleheads now being sold after being featured at Republican National Convention.
Babydog, the beloved First Dog of West Virginia, stole the show at the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee without even saying a word. Now, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum in Milwaukee is honoring her celebrity status in a unique way – by creating a commemorative bobblehead in her likeness.
The bobblehead of Babydog sits on a red, white, and blue base with her mouth open and tongue out in a playful pose. This replica captures her adorable features, including her white, tan, and brown coat, cute stubby legs, and folds around her face. A total of 2,024 bobbleheads will be produced later this year and will be available for purchase at $30 each on the museum’s online store. Shipping will cost an additional $8.
“We’re excited to offer the first bobblehead of Babydog, the First Dog of West Virginia,” said National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum CEO Phil Sklar. “Already popular among West Virginians, Babydog gained even more fans with her appearance at the Republican National Convention. This bobblehead is a must-have for all Babydog enthusiasts!”
At just 4 years old, Babydog joined her dad, Governor Jim Justice, on stage at the RNC, where she captivated the audience and made headlines with her charming presence. The Justice household also includes two Boston terriers named Lucy and Ellie, making Babydog one of three furry companions in the family. She will be celebrating her 5th birthday on October 27.
During the convention, Babydog made a grand entrance onto the stage after being called by her owner, Governor Justice. The sight of the adorable bulldog instantly won the hearts of the audience and viewers watching from home.
