Biden-Harris administration let migrants on terror watchlist into US, report says

It has been revealed that nearly 100 illegal immigrants on the terror watch list have been released into the United States during the Biden administration. Border Patrol agents have encountered migrants on the watch list from dozens of different countries, posing a potential national security risk to the country.

According to a report by Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee, immigration judges granted bond to at least 27 migrants on the watch list who entered illegally. Border Patrol has also encountered tens of thousands of migrants from countries that could pose national security risks, including nationals from Afghanistan, China, Iran, Syria, and Uzbekistan.

The report highlighted the fact that Border Patrol had encountered migrants on the terror watchlist from 36 different countries, including places with active terror presences such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria, Tajikistan, and Yemen.

The concern about potential terrorists entering the United States has intensified amid the ongoing crisis at the southern border. The number of encounters on the watchlist has seen a more than 3,000% increase since the Biden administration took office in 2021.

While the Biden administration has blamed Republicans for not providing enough funding and reforms to address the broken immigration system, Republicans have pointed fingers at the administration for rolling back Trump-era policies, exacerbating the crisis.

Officials have warned about the risk of terrorists using the southern border as a point of entry into the country. This fear was realized when DHS identified over 400 individuals brought to the U.S. from Eastern European and Central Asian countries by an ISIS-affiliated smuggling network in recent months.

Federal authorities also apprehended eight Tajikistan nationals with ties to ISIS in New York City, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. These individuals entered the country illegally via the southern border, with no derogatory information flagged during processing.

The Judiciary Committee report exposed that of the eight Tajikistan nationals, three were released after using the CBP One phone application to schedule an appointment, while four were encountered by Border Patrol.

The staff interim report has sounded the alarm on the national security threat posed by the Biden administration’s immigration policies. It emphasized the importance of securing the border to prevent the flow of illegal aliens and potential terrorists into the country.

With national security experts and immigration officials increasingly concerned about terrorism originating from the border, policymakers are urged to take all necessary steps to address this pressing issue. The report underscored the Biden-Harris Administration’s reluctance to acknowledge and rectify the national security risks created by its open-borders agenda.
