Biden says he will continue running for president before important interview.

President Biden is not backing down, declaring he is “staying in the race” despite facing scrutiny after a lackluster performance in a recent debate. The debate, held last week, saw Biden struggling and appearing to lose his train of thought multiple times, raising concerns about his mental acuity. Some Democrats have even called for him to step aside from the 2024 Democratic ticket.

In a speech in Madison, Wisconsin, Biden addressed the issue, admitting that he couldn’t claim it was his best performance and acknowledging the questions that have arisen since then. He faced speculation about whether he would drop out of the race or stay in, to which he firmly stated, “I am running and going to win again.”

During his speech, Biden mentioned that some people are trying to push him out of the race, but he made it clear that he is staying in. There were moments where he stumbled, including mistakenly stating he would beat Trump in 2020, despite the upcoming 2024 election.

Despite the pressure on him, Biden reaffirmed his commitment to the race, just hours before a crucial primetime interview on ABC News with anchor George Stephanopoulos. The interview aimed to address the concerns raised by Democrats and liberal media figures, some of whom have expressed doubts about Biden’s ability to defeat Donald Trump in the upcoming election.

Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey urged Biden to consider whether he is still the best candidate to defeat Trump, as more Democrats publicly called on him to step aside. Even though questions about his health have been repeatedly dismissed by the White House and the Biden campaign, concerns over his cognitive abilities persist.

When asked directly about whether Biden has Alzheimer’s, dementia, or any degenerative illnesses causing his lapses, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre responded with a firm “no,” emphasizing that the focus should also be on the health of former President Trump.

The stakes are high for Biden as he faces a critical moment in his re-election campaign. With mounting pressure from within his party to reassess his candidacy, Biden remains determined to stay in the race and secure victory once again.
