Hit Me Hard And Soft dominated the midweek chart, outselling the rest of the top 5 combined and knocking Taylor Swift’s Tortured Poets to the second spot, while Zayn’s Room Under The Stairs entered at number 3. This marks Zayn’s third solo appearance on the top 40 chart, following his previous albums Mind of Mine and Nobody is Listening. Additionally, Beth Gibbons of Portishead debuted at number 7 with her first solo studio album, Lives Outgrown, while legendary guitarist Slash entered the charts at number 8 with his star-studded collection, Orgy of the Damned.
