Blinken stays quiet about Hunter Biden’s laptop investigation.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken faced questions about his alleged involvement in discrediting Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop, which later played a crucial role in Biden’s federal trial and subsequent conviction.

Former CIA official Morell testified that Blinken, as President Biden’s then-campaign senior adviser, had a hand in initiating a public statement signed by intelligence officials, claiming Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop was linked to a Russian disinformation campaign just weeks before the 2020 presidential election.

In a letter to Blinken from House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner, R-Ohio, it was revealed that Blinken had reached out to Morell around October 17, 2020, to discuss the Hunter Biden laptop story. This conversation ultimately led to the issuance of the public statement.

Morell stated that one of his goals in releasing the statement was to help then-Vice President Biden in the election and prevent American citizens from making a fully informed decision. The Biden campaign actively played a role in the origins of the public statement that aimed to suppress the Hunter Biden story.

Shortly after the letter from former intelligence officials was made public, Joe Biden referenced it during the final 2020 presidential debate to counter attacks from then-President Trump.

In the following years, various media outlets confirmed the authenticity of the laptop, which was used as evidence in Biden’s recent gun crime trial, where he was convicted on all charges.

Furthermore, emails from the abandoned laptop that Blinken sought to discredit revealed Hunter Biden’s personal connections to Blinken and his wife, Evan Ryan, dating back over a decade.

In an email dated May 22, 2015, Hunter attempted to schedule a meeting with Blinken for advice, which was eventually rescheduled to July 2015 due to a family tragedy.

Subsequent emails showed the scheduling of a meeting between Hunter and Blinken, with Blinken expressing pleasure in seeing Hunter and exchanging light-hearted banter.

Blinken has previously denied involvement in the creation of the letter from former intel officials, emphasizing that he does not engage in politics despite his history of political donations and campaign positions.

Profile pieces on Blinken over the years have highlighted his multifaceted relationship with President Biden, portraying him as a trusted confidant and advisor on various matters beyond foreign policy.

Senator Chris Coons, President Biden’s re-election campaign co-chair, praised Blinken’s loyalty, capability, and effectiveness in advising the President, emphasizing his invaluable role within Biden’s inner circle.
