Clooney reveals Biden’s true condition at Hollywood event, debunking fake narrative from White House
Recently, the Biden campaign and White House have been aggressively pushing a narrative to dispel any concerns about President Biden’s mental fitness. However, this narrative took a significant hit after top Hollywood actor George Clooney and former Obama aide Jon Favreau spoke out about their observations.
Clooney publicly called on Biden to leave the 2024 race, highlighting what he witnessed at a Hollywood fundraiser in late June. At the event, Biden was criticized for needing to be led off the stage by former President Obama, a sight that raised questions about the President’s capabilities.
Expressing his disappointment, Clooney, a longtime friend of Obama, stated, “It’s devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fundraiser was not the Joe ‘big F-ing deal’ Biden of 2010. He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate.
Favreau, a former Obama speechwriter who was also present at the fundraiser, supported Clooney’s assessment. He remarked, “It was not surprising to any of us who were at the fundraiser. Clooney was exactly right, and every single person I talked to at the fundraiser thought the same thing, except for the people working for Joe Biden, or at least they didn’t say that.”
These candid comments followed a dedicated episode of “Pod Save America,” where Favreau and his fellow advisors critiqued Biden’s performance in the first presidential debate and subsequent interviews. Their unfiltered opinions shed light on concerns that had been brewing in certain circles.
Following the June 18 fundraiser incident, where videos circulated showing Biden being led off the stage by Obama, there was a swift response from the Democratic Party and the media to downplay any doubts about Biden’s age or mental acuity.
Various media outlets were quick to rebut claims of Biden freezing onstage or being led away, attributing the interactions to natural pauses or friendly gestures between Biden and Obama. White House and Biden campaign spokespeople dismissed these concerns as distractions concocted by political opponents.
Amidst these back-and-forths, accusations of manipulated or edited videos were also addressed. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre dismissed such footage as “cheap fakes” created in bad faith to undermine Biden’s credibility. She emphasized that these tactics revealed the desperation of Biden’s political adversaries.
However, individuals who were present at the fundraiser, including staff and attendees, refuted the sensationalized accounts of Biden’s behavior. They asserted that what transpired was innocuous and misinterpreted by those attempting to spin a negative narrative.
