CNN Panel Criticizes Biden’s Debate Performance

After what was deemed a disappointing performance by President Joe Biden in the first debate of the 2024 election, CNN’s post-debate panel did not hold back in their analysis. Former Barack Obama adviser Van Jones expressed his disappointment, stating, “He didn’t do well at all. He did not do well at all,” despite his admiration for Biden as a person and his love for his country.

The consensus among the panel was that while Trump also had flaws in the debate, Biden’s performance was lackluster. CNN chief national correspondent John King even went as far as to call Biden’s performance “dismal”, signaling a sense of panic among Democrats.”

The speculation among Democrats is growing, with suggestions of the need to consider replacing Biden on the ticket. Former Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod emphasized the shock felt by many within the party and the urgency of addressing the situation.

Republican strategist David Urban did not mince his words, describing Biden’s performance as an “unmitigated disaster”. Even on MSNBC, criticisms were raised, with former Sen. Claire McCaskill highlighting Biden’s failure to reassure Americans of his capabilities.

As the aftermath of the debate unfolds, the sentiments of concern and disappointment are palpable. The stakes remain high as the election draws near, leaving many to wonder about the future of the Democratic candidate and the party’s prospects moving forward.
