Cruz warns not to underestimate Harris: Dems comparing her to Mother Teresa, Oprah, and Gandhi.

Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has issued a warning to his fellow Republicans, urging them not to underestimate Vice President Kamala Harris as she emerges as a top contender for the Democratic Party’s nomination for president.

Cruz expressed his concerns on his podcast “Verdict with Ted Cruz,” stating, “Republicans, I worry, vastly underestimate Kamala Harris. They don’t think very highly of her. They don’t think she’s terribly bright. When you or I bring up Kamala Harris’ name in Republican circles, people laugh. It’s immediately a punchline.”

The senator cautioned against premature celebrations among Republicans, particularly in light of the media’s potential promotion of Harris as a historic candidate. Cruz highlighted the significant impact billions of dollars in free media coverage could have on shaping Harris’ image.

“I think people are underestimating what billions of dollars of free media, of the entire corrupt corporate media complex, pitching her as a combination of Mother Teresa, Oprah and Gandhi,” Cruz emphasized.

While Cruz still believes in a Trump victory in November, he stressed the importance of not underestimating Harris and the potential challenges she could pose in the upcoming election.

President Biden’s recent announcement of his decision to drop out of the presidential race and endorse Vice President Harris as the Democratic nominee has added a new dynamic to the political landscape.

In his endorsement of Harris, Biden expressed confidence in her abilities, stating, “My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year.”

Vice President Harris, in her first public address following Biden’s endorsement, praised the President for his dedication to serving the American people and emphasized the importance of unity within the Democratic Party.

As the DNC works towards certifying Harris as the official nominee, the Republican Party has already solidified its ticket with former President Trump and Ohio Sen. JD Vance as his running mate.

Cruz shared his observations from the recent RNC, noting the excitement and energy among Republicans but also cautioning against overconfidence in assuming a victory without putting in the necessary hard work.

Despite the celebratory atmosphere at the convention, Cruz emphasized the need for continued focus and effort leading up to Election Day, stating, “Now is not the time for celebration. Now is the time for hard work.”

As the 2024 presidential race unfolds, both parties are gearing up for a fiercely competitive election, with Harris and Trump emerging as the key figures vying for the nation’s highest office.
