Democratic group spends $50 million on ads for Harris before DNC.

The excitement surrounding Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential candidacy is reaching new heights as a top Democratic super PAC launches a massive ad buy in several battleground states to support her campaign leading up to the Democratic Party’s convention in Chicago next month.

Future Forward, the largest Democratic-leaning super PAC, has announced a whopping $50 million investment to bolster Harris in six states over the next three weeks before the convention in Chicago, as reported by The Washington Post.

In addition, the second-largest independent supporter of Democrats, American Bridge 21st Century, is set to kick off ad placements in the key swing state of Michigan starting this Friday.

Moreover, Women Vote, a part of the Emily’s List network, revealed that it would be spending $2 million to target younger women in four battleground states, further strengthening Harris’ support base.

“We’re ready to hit the ground running to ensure that voters understand Kamala Harris is a president who will fight for them,” said Future Forward President Chauncey McLean in an interview with The Washington Post. “She is dedicated to enhancing the lives of all Americans, while Donald Trump’s focus remains solely on himself.”

The strategic move by these super PACs has drawn praise from David Axelrod, a former top adviser to former President Obama, who described it as a “big development.” Axelrod highlighted the importance of providing air cover for Harris, especially as opposition forces are working to define her negatively.

One of the upcoming ads is expected to spotlight Harris’ background as a district attorney who protected children from sexual predators and as an attorney general who fearlessly took on big banks to safeguard homeowners’ interests and emerged victorious.

On the other side of the political spectrum, MAGA Inc. is reportedly planning to spend $32 million targeting Harris before Labor Day, pushing their total expenditure during this period to $72 million. This adversarial action underscores the intensity of the upcoming political battle between Harris and Trump.

A recent survey conducted after Biden’s exit from the race has revealed a dead heat between Trump and Harris in the crucial swing state of Michigan, despite Trump previously holding a substantial lead by nearly double digits.

While national polls present a mixed picture, with some indicating a tie and others showing a slight advantage for either candidate, a recent survey by The New York Times/Siena College unveiled that Trump leads Harris by just one percentage point among likely voters, standing at 48% to 47%. Among registered voters, Trump’s lead over Harris is two percentage points.

The intensifying battle between the supporters of Kamala Harris and former President Trump is set to define the political landscape in the coming weeks as the race for the White House heats up.
