Democratic leaders support Biden after debate; GOP urged to replace Trump

The Democratic governors across the country are standing united in support of President Biden following a contentious debate performance that has stirred up the political landscape. Governor Carney of Delaware, Biden’s home state, reaffirmed his endorsement of the president, emphasizing the need for Biden to complete the work he has started.

Despite the turmoil caused by the debate, many Democratic state officials are rallying behind Biden. West Virginia’s State Democratic Party Chair, Mike Pushkin, labeled Trump as a criminal and emphasized the importance of upholding the democratic process by supporting Biden as the nominee.

State Senator Sharif Street of Pennsylvania highlighted Biden’s accomplishments in job creation and his commitment to appointing justices who protect women’s rights. He commended Biden for passing significant legislation such as the CHIPS Act and the infrastructure bill, emphasizing Biden’s positive impact on communities.

Pennsylvania Governor, Josh Shapiro, reiterated his support for Biden, pointing out the stark contrast between the former president and the current administration. Shapiro emphasized the need to prevent a return to the divisive and damaging policies of Trump’s presidency.

Minnesota Governor, Tim Walz, reflected on the performative nature of debates and stressed the importance of focusing on a candidate’s ability to deliver results rather than their debate performance. Governor Jared Polis of Colorado criticized Trump for spreading conspiracy theories during the debate and lauded Biden’s vision for America.

While North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper did not respond directly, his presence at a campaign rally with Biden displayed his continued support for the president. Democratic Party officials in states such as Kansas reiterated their backing for Biden, emphasizing his record of bipartisan achievements and commitment to fundamental freedoms.

As the Democratic governors stand firm in their support for President Biden, it is evident that the party remains unified in their belief in Biden’s ability to lead the country forward.
