Former aide believes Trump’s plan to attack Kamala Harris will fail.

Former Trump White House communications director Alyssa Farah Griffin made a bold prediction on Monday regarding how Republican nominee Donald Trump and his campaign team will target Vice President Kamala Harris in a potential 2024 election matchup.

During an appearance on “The View,” which she co-hosts, Griffin anticipated that the Trump campaign would resort to sexist, misogynistic attacks and racial rhetoric against Harris. However, she warned that such tactics would ultimately backfire and alienate independent moderate voters, whom she dubbed ‘Nikki Haley swing voters.’

“The Trump campaign is going to overplay its hand,” Griffin told the panel. “They’re going to lean too hard into sexist, misogynistic attacks and too hard on race and it’s going to make independent moderates… be like, ‘I can’t be with this guy.’ I really think they’re going to go way too far with her and alienate a lot of voters.”

Prior to discussing the potential clash between Trump and Harris, Griffin acknowledged the strengths and weaknesses of Harris assuming the presidential nomination from incumbent President Joe Biden, who recently announced the conclusion of his reelection bid.

Griffin highlighted Harris’ national exposure, name recognition, and ability to shift the conversation surrounding age, as she would be a younger contender compared to Biden. She pointed out that the youth appeal of Harris could resonate with first- or second-time voters, potentially giving her a decisive edge in the 2024 election.

Switching gears to a segment on CNN, Griffin shared insights about the apprehension within “Trump world” regarding a match-up against Harris, indicating that tensions were running high and hinting at a contentious and intense campaign season ahead.

As the political landscape continues to evolve, the dynamics between Trump and Harris are set to be a focal point of the upcoming presidential race, with both candidates expected to leverage their respective strengths and engage in vigorous campaigning to win over American voters.
