Gracie Abrams’ Song ‘The Secret Of Us’ Reaches No. 1 in Australia

Gracie Abrams has achieved a significant milestone in her music career as she lands her first No. 1 in Australia with her latest album, “The Secret Of Us,” released via Interscope/Universal. This marks a momentous occasion for the Californian singer and songwriter, surpassing the No. 30 ranking of her debut album, 2023’s “Good Riddance.”

Abrams’ affiliation with Taylor Swift’s #Squad has undoubtedly played a role in her success, as she has opened for Swift on various legs of The Eras Tour. Additionally, the collaboration between Abrams and Swift on the track “Us” from “The Secret Of Us” has debuted at No. 25 on the latest ARIA Singles Chart, serving as the week’s highest debut.

With her chart-topping achievement, Abrams leads a wave of female solo artists on the ARIA Chart. Billie Eilish’s “Hit Me Hard And Soft” (Interscope/Universal) follows closely behind at No. 2, with Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department” (Universal) and Charli XCX’s “Brat” (Atlantic/Warner) claiming the third and fourth positions. U.S. country star Morgan Wallen rounds out the top five with “One Thing At A Time” (Mercury/Universal).

Meanwhile, rising pop star Chappell Roan is making waves with her debut album, “The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess” (Island/Universal), climbing to No. 7 on the ARIA Chart. Her track “Good Luck, Babe!” has also seen a surge, reaching a new peak at No. 12 on the national singles chart.

On the same chart, Brisbane-formed pop band Sheppard makes a triumphant return with their fourth studio album, “Zora” (Empire Of Song/MGM), debuting at No. 8. Having previously achieved success with albums like “Bombs Away,” “Watching The Sky,” and “Kaleidoscope Eyes,” Sheppard continues to captivate audiences with their infectious sound.

As the ARIA Singles Chart unfolds, Sabrina Carpenter maintains her stronghold at the top spot for a second consecutive week with “Please Please Please” (Island/Universal). Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” (Empire) climbs to No. 2, while Carpenter’s previous hit, “Espresso,” slides to No. 3.

Further down the list, Tommy Richman secures a spot in the top 40 with his track, “Devil Is a Lie” (Conchord/Universal), following the success of his previous No. 1 hit, “Million Dollar Baby.” Post Malone’s venture into the country music scene continues to gain traction as “Pour Me a Drink” (Universal) featuring Blake Shelton debuts at No. 33, building on the momentum of his collaboration with Morgan Wallen on “I Had Some Help.”
