Group linked to Trump criticizes Kamala Harris for failing in vice presidency.

Border security has become a contentious issue in recent times, particularly as it pertains to Vice President Kamala Harris. The Preserve America super PAC, which supports former President Trump’s White House campaign, has taken a strong stance against Harris, accusing her of failing to address the issue effectively. National Border Patrol Council vice president Art Del Cueto has been vocal in his criticism of Harris, calling her out for her handling of illegal immigration.

Trump and his allies have been relentless in their criticism of Harris since she replaced President Biden on the Democrats’ national ticket. The surge of migrants at the southern border during the Biden administration has been a focal point of their attacks. Harris was assigned by Biden to lead diplomatic efforts in addressing the root causes of migration from Central American countries, earning her the unofficial title of “border czar.” However, the White House has rejected this designation.

Del Cueto, a supporter of the former president, has been a prominent voice in the ad campaign against Harris. He refers to her as “Biden’s border czar” and accuses her of supporting sanctuary cities and taxpayer benefits for illegal immigrants, contributing to what he describes as the worst border crisis in American history. The ad also features a clip of Harris stating on “The View” in 2019 that undocumented immigrants crossing the border should not be treated as criminals.

Preserve America, initially established during Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign, has been relaunched to support his bid for the White House in 2024. The super PAC, funded by Republican mega-donor Adelson, plans to increase its expenditures in support of Trump’s campaign this time around.

Harris has not taken these attacks lying down. She has emphasized her record on border security and pushed back against criticisms from Trump and his campaign. At a rally in Atlanta, she highlighted her efforts as California attorney general in addressing border security, positioning herself as a strong contender in the debate over immigration policy.

In response to Harris’s comments, the Trump campaign took to social media to challenge her claims, asserting that she has allowed millions of illegal immigrants into the country and advocating for abolishing ICE. The campaign also accused Harris of prioritizing political gain over genuine efforts to secure the border.

As the presidential campaign heats up, the issue of border security remains a central point of contention between the two camps. Harris and Trump are locked in a battle to define their respective approaches to immigration policy, with each side seeking to gain the upper hand in the eyes of the American public.
