Harris raises more money than Trump in recent fundraising efforts
As the election draws near, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are focusing their efforts on key battleground states. In a race that remains close in the polls, both campaigns are ramping up their fundraising and spending in a final push to secure votes before Nov. 5.
Harris’ main campaign committee, Harris for President, raised an impressive $221.8 million in September, outpacing Trump’s campaign fundraising of $62.7 million. Trump, who spent Sunday in Pennsylvania and is scheduled to visit North Carolina on Monday, is working hard to reclaim states he won in 2016 but lost in 2020. Meanwhile, Harris is making appearances in key cities like Philadelphia, Detroit, and Milwaukee, alongside former Republican Rep. Liz Cheney.
While Harris has enjoyed a surge in donations following President Biden’s exit from the race, her fundraising advantage has yet to reflect in the polls. Nevertheless, both candidates are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to secure victory in crucial swing states.
It’s important to note that the fundraising figures mentioned do not include contributions from other political action committees supporting Harris and Trump, which play a significant role in bolstering their campaigns.
Despite the intense competition between Harris and Trump, the focus remains on engaging voters, garnering support, and rallying their respective bases as the election date approaches. With the stakes higher than ever, both candidates are leaving nothing to chance in their pursuit of victory.
