Hunter Biden to face trial for federal tax charges after first trial.

Hunter Biden, the son of President Biden, recently completed his federal gun trial in Delaware where he was found guilty on all counts. Special Counsel David Weiss charged him with making false statements related to the purchase of a firearm, a false statement regarding information needed by a licensed firearm dealer, and possession of a firearm while being an unlawful user of a controlled substance. Despite the verdict, a sentencing date has not been scheduled yet.

As a result of the charges, Hunter Biden could face a maximum prison sentence of up to 25 years, along with fines of $250,000 for each count and three years of supervised release. President Biden has made it clear that he will not pardon his son for the crimes.

Looking ahead, Hunter Biden is now facing additional legal troubles as he prepares for another trial in California. This upcoming trial is a result of Weiss’ ongoing investigation into the first son’s activities.

In California, Hunter Biden is facing charges including three felonies and six misdemeanors related to $1.4 million in unpaid taxes, which have since been settled. Weiss has alleged that Hunter was involved in a “four-year scheme” where he failed to pay federal income taxes from January 2017 to October 2020, while also submitting false tax reports.

The tax trial was initially slated to commence on June 20, but United States District Court Judge Mark Scarsi granted Hunter Biden’s request to postpone the trial. As a result, the trial is now set to begin on September 5, including jury selection.

Despite the legal challenges facing Hunter Biden, he continues to maintain his innocence and is expected to vigorously defend himself in the upcoming trials. The controversies surrounding the president’s son have drawn significant attention and scrutiny, but only time will tell the outcome of these legal proceedings.
