Ice Spice avoids talking about rumors of collaboration with Taylor Swift on ‘Y2K!’

Speculation is rife about a potential second collaboration between Taylor Swift and Ice Spice, and fans are eagerly awaiting confirmation.

At the 2024 BET Awards red carpet on Sunday, the 24-year-old rapper remained elusive when questioned about her upcoming album Y2K!, set to be released later this month, and the possibility of a duet with the “Anti-Hero” singer.

When Entertainment Tonight asked if Swift would be reciprocating the favor after Ice Spice’s feature on the remix of the 14-time Grammy winner’s “Karma” last year, Ice responded with, “I think she did me the favor. I don’t know. Let’s see, let’s see, let’s see.”

While Ice Spice chose not to divulge details about Swift’s participation, she did hint at multiple exciting collaborations on her debut LP. “There’s a couple,” she confirmed.

In a Spotify audio snippet released around the time of their previous collaboration, Swift praised Ice Spice, calling her the one to watch and expressing her admiration for the rapper’s work ethic. It’s clear that there is mutual respect and admiration between the two artists.

At the BET Awards, Ice Spice delivered an electrifying performance on stage, showcasing her talent through songs like “Phat Butt” and “Think U the Sh-t (Fart).” Despite her nominations, she did not secure any awards but left a lasting impression with her fiery performance.

Next on Ice Spice’s agenda is a world tour set to commence on July 4. When asked if Swift or Nicki Minaj might make appearances during her performances, Ice Spice remained open to the possibility. She acknowledged their busy schedules but mentioned that they would be welcomed on stage.

Y2K! is scheduled for release on July 26 under the labels 10K Projects and Capitol Records, building anticipation among fans for what promises to be a stellar debut album from Ice Spice.
