Jared Moskowitz makes fun of James Comer’s answer about Biden

Welcome to the daily news update from Boston Post News! Today, we bring you the latest on the ongoing impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden, as tensions rise between Democrats and Republicans in Washington D.C.

Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) made waves yesterday with his sarcastic remarks towards House Oversight Committee chair James Comer (R-Ky.) regarding the GOP’s impeachment inquiry into President Biden. In a scathing comment to Fox News’ Chad Pergram outside the U.S. Capitol, Moskowitz mocked Comer’s handling of the investigation, stating, “It’s going great for Comer. I mean, everything I read, it’s just going so well for him.”

The Florida Democrat went on to troll Comer over the Republican efforts to impeach President Biden, despite a lack of hard evidence linking him to any wrongdoing. When asked about the status of the impeachment investigation, Moskowitz quipped, “Is that still going on?” highlighting the seemingly stalled progress of the inquiry.

On the same day of Moskowitz’s comments, GOP lawmakers issued criminal referrals to the Justice Department, recommending charges for Hunter Biden and James Biden for allegedly making false statements to Congress. In response, Comer stated, “This is not the end of our efforts to hold the Bidens accountable; it’s only the beginning.”

However, Abbe Lowell, Hunter Biden’s attorney, condemned the referrals as a “desperate attempt by Republicans to twist Hunter’s testimony” in order to distract from their previous failed impeachment inquiry. Lowell also accused the GOP of interfering with Hunter Biden’s upcoming federal gun trial in Delaware.

As tensions continue to escalate between the two parties, it remains to be seen how the impeachment inquiry will unfold in the coming weeks. Stay tuned to Boston Post News for the latest updates on this developing story.
