Joe Biden never worried about losing to Donald Trump

President Joe Biden made an appearance on ABC’s “The View” where he addressed the rumors about suspending his reelection campaign and the speculation surrounding his age and abilities.

He candidly shared his thoughts about the calls for him to suspend his campaign, asserting that he never fully believed the overwhelming reluctance for him to run again. He expressed confidence in his polling numbers, stating that he was always within range of beating his opponent, Donald Trump.

Despite a slight dip in his polling after a debate performance against Trump, Biden and Trump remained neck and neck in the race. However, concerns arose that this might be the beginning of a downward trend for the Democratic nominee. Eventually, Biden dropped out of the race just before the Democratic National Convention and threw his support behind Vice President Kamala Harris.

During his appearance on “The View,” Biden addressed the speculation that he suspended his campaign due to feeling too old for the job. He acknowledged that some people may have wanted him to step aside to allow for new leadership, but he emphasized that age was not the primary reason for his decision.

Biden humorously remarked on his age, even joking with “View” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, who is significantly younger. He admitted that it’s hard for him to even say how old he is, further highlighting the lighthearted nature of the conversation.

Griffin questioned Biden about the perception that his hand was forced when he dropped out of the race, with reports indicating pressure from former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Biden reassured that his relationship with Pelosi was “fine,” indicating that there was no bad blood between them.

Overall, Biden’s appearance on “The View” provided insight into his decision-making process during the 2020 presidential campaign and shed light on the internal dynamics within the Democratic Party. His candid and humorous demeanor resonated with viewers, showcasing a more personal side of the President that is rarely seen in a formal political setting.

As the political landscape continues to evolve, Biden’s reflections on his campaign experience offer valuable lessons for future candidates and highlight the importance of staying true to oneself in the face of external pressures.
