Arizona Senate Candidate Kari Lake Speaks Out Against Democratic Presidential Ticket

Arizona U.S. Senate Republican nominee Kari Lake has expressed concerns about the Democratic presidential ticket and its impact on her state, particularly in terms of border security. Lake criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for failing to address the issues at the southern border during her visit to Arizona.

Lake called out Harris’s role as the “border czar” and praised former President Donald Trump’s “build the wall” policies. She highlighted the absence of support for border security measures from the Democratic presidential nominee.

Referring to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Lake humorously mentioned that the only Walz Harris supports is her VP pick, indicating a lack of action on border security from the Democratic side.

“We’re living in the nightmare created by Harris, President Biden, and U.S. Rep. Ruben Gallego,” Lake said, emphasizing the impact of the Democratic leadership on the state.

Lake accused her Democratic opponent, Ruben Gallego, of endorsing Biden-Harris border policies. She referred to Harris, Walz, and Gallego as the “three musketeers of nightmarish policy.”

Despite facing skepticism within the Republican Party, Lake highlighted the support she has garnered from Karrin Taylor Robson and everyday-American Democrats who back her Senate bid.

At a recent event in Chandler, Lake was joined by U.S. Reps. Eli Crane and Andy Biggs, as well as families affected by the open border crisis. The attendees included parents who lost children to the fentanyl crisis and former Democratic voter Jade Gillon, who expressed support for Trump’s administration due to improved living conditions.

Jade Gillon emphasized the differences in her quality of life under Trump versus Biden’s administration and criticized Democrats for fearmongering against Trump.

Eli Crane, during his remarks, raised concerns about media’s negligence in reporting Biden’s acuity issues and criticized Walz’s military record controversy as a common occurrence in Washington, D.C.

He voiced his apprehensions about Harris’s socialist beliefs and urged Americans to consider the future implications of such ideologies on the country.

In response, Gallego For Arizona campaign spokesperson Hannah Goss defended Gallego’s commitment to border security and improvements in asylum systems and fentanyl trafficking control. She accused Lake of spreading falsehoods to undermine Gallego’s record.

The event also highlighted the coalition “Democrats & Former Democrats for Kari Lake & America First” in response to Harris’s “Republicans for Harris” campaign. Gallego has launched “Republicans and Independents for Ruben” in the battleground state, showcasing diverse political support.

Arizona’s Senate race continues to intensify as candidates clash over border security policies and leadership approaches, setting the stage for a contentious electoral battle.
