Maduro refuses to take back illegal immigrants from US, as Venezuelan migrants commit crimes.

The shocking and tragic murder of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray in Texas has brought to light the ongoing issues surrounding Venezuelan illegal immigrants in the United States. It is alleged that two Venezuelan men, Johan Jose Rangel Martinez, 21, and Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, 26, are responsible for luring the young girl under a bridge, tying her up, killing her, and then dumping her body into a river. Both men now face capital murder charges for this heinous crime.

Reports indicate that both Martinez and Pena are in the country illegally. Martinez was apprehended by Border Patrol in March, while Pena was detained in May. Despite their illegal status, both individuals were released on a recognizance order pending their immigration court hearings. These arrests come at a time when Venezuela has halted the acceptance of deportation flights from the U.S. and Mexico. The socialist regime initially agreed to accept the return of Venezuelan migrants in October 2023, but stopped the almost weekly deportation flights in February 2024 after the U.S. reinstated economic sanctions against Venezuela.

The Biden administration had expressed its intention to increase the number of repatriation flights to Venezuela in order to deter illegal immigration. However, the current situation remains uncertain as the deportation flights to Venezuela are currently on hold. Despite a decrease in the number of encounters with Venezuelan migrants at the southern border, concerns persist over the criminal activities of Venezuelan individuals in the U.S.

In recent news, a Venezuelan illegal immigrant was accused of shooting two NYPD officers in Queens, while another was charged with the violent murder of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley earlier this year. The emergence of the violent Venezuelan street gang, Tren de Aragua (TdA), has also raised alarms among officials and lawmakers. Known for engaging in extortion, kidnapping, murder, and sex trafficking, TdA has been attempting to establish a presence in the United States.

Authorities have warned that TdA may collaborate with notorious gangs like MS-13, posing a significant threat to public safety. Border Patrol has already apprehended several illegal immigrants with ties to TdA, highlighting the gang’s increasing influence in the U.S. law enforcement agencies are closely monitoring the activities of TdA and are taking steps to combat organized crime associated with the gang.
