Republic Records, one of the leading music labels in the industry, has recently appointed Mary Catherine Kinney as their new executive vice president of artist & label strategy. This significant move showcases Republic’s commitment to strengthening their presence in the music world. Kinney, who will be based in Nashville, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role.

Before joining Republic, Kinney held a pivotal position at Spotify as the head of artist partnerships. During her tenure at the streaming giant, she spearheaded various initiatives that forged meaningful connections between artists, fans, and the music industry at large. From collaborations with big names like Taylor Swift to innovative marketing projects like Spotify House at CMA Fest, Kinney’s impact was truly profound.

Kinney’s impressive resume also includes valuable experience at Sony Music Nashville and Universal Music Group Nashville. These past roles have equipped her with a deep understanding of the intricacies of the music business and a keen insight into the evolving landscape of the industry.
