Michael Moore thinks Biden is being taken advantage of by Netanyahu in Israel-Gaza conflict.
Michael Moore, the outspoken and controversial filmmaker, didn’t hold back in expressing his views on President Joe Biden and the Israel-Gaza conflict. Moore took aim at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the ongoing bombing offensive in Gaza, which has resulted in significant loss of life and continued suffering. He also criticized the Biden administration for funding these actions.
In a scathing post on Substack, Moore didn’t mince words, stating, “There’s no getting around the awful truth: The United States is the Bank that is funding and arming the slaughter of children in Gaza. Netanyahu is a war criminal. This makes us his accomplices. THIS MUST STOP.”
Moore went on to accuse Biden of being played by Netanyahu, quoting a 2001 recording in which Netanyahu reportedly said, “I know what America is. America is a thing you can move very easily.” Moore believes that Israel’s actions are being funded with billions in U.S. taxpayer money, despite the administration’s claims of working towards a cease-fire.
The filmmaker called on readers to take action, urging them to donate to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, a nonprofit dedicated to providing aid to children in Gaza. He highlighted the staggering number of child casualties in the conflict, with estimates ranging from 40,000 to as high as 92,000 deaths.
According to a study published in The Lancet journal, Israeli actions in Gaza since October 2023 have led to an estimated 186,000 deaths. Moore, who had previously advocated for Vice President Kamala Harris to take the lead in the presidential race, expressed concerns over her foreign policy alignment with Biden’s views.
Despite facing criticism for his stance on supporting Harris, Moore stood firm in his beliefs, denouncing the ongoing violence in Gaza and calling for an end to the conflict. He condemned the use of military force and the occupation of lands under the guise of religious justification.
As tensions continue to escalate in the region, Moore’s impassioned plea for peace and justice resonates with many who see the need for a change in approach to resolving the Israel-Gaza conflict. It remains to be seen how the Biden administration will navigate these complex issues and whether meaningful steps towards peace will be taken.
