Missouri Attorney General to sue New York for legal attacks on Trump.

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey is taking a strong stand against what he believes are unconstitutional attacks on the democratic process by the state of New York. In a bold move, Bailey announced that he would be filing a lawsuit against New York for what he calls “their direct attack on our democratic process through unconstitutional lawfare against President Trump.”

Speaking on his podcast, “The Bailey Wire,” Bailey made it clear that his office would be taking action to combat what he sees as illicit prosecutions against the former president. He emphasized the need to restore the rule of law and protect Missourians’ right to a free and fair election.

According to Bailey, the actions taken by New York against Trump are not only unjust but also undermine the democratic process by attempting to remove a presidential candidate from the campaign trail. He believes that it is essential to fight back against what he sees as a rogue prosecutor’s actions that threaten the integrity of the electoral system.

The lawsuit filed by Bailey’s office will bypass lower courts and go directly to the U.S. Supreme Court due to its nature as a state versus state action. The case will be titled “Missouri vs. New York,” indicating the seriousness and importance of the legal challenge.

Earlier, Bailey had launched a probe into the Justice Department for any documents related to communications with prosecutors involved in Trump’s indictments. He alleged that the investigations and prosecutions of Trump seemed to have been coordinated with the DOJ, pointing to the involvement of high-ranking officials such as Matthew Colangelo in the Manhattan DA’s office.

Bailey also raised concerns about the collaboration between Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and New York Attorney General Letitia James in pursuing civil litigation against Trump. He highlighted that Bragg’s campaign promises to go after Trump and his subsequent focus on prosecuting the former president raise suspicions of coordination with the Biden administration.

According to Bailey, Bragg’s decision to bring charges against Trump, despite their perceived weakness, has effectively kept Trump off the campaign trail, which Biden has reportedly boasted about. Bailey suggests that the timing of the charges, along with their impact on Trump’s ability to campaign, indicates a possible coordination between the Biden administration and prosecutors.

Overall, Bailey’s lawsuit against New York and his ongoing investigations into the DOJ’s handling of Trump’s case demonstrate his commitment to upholding the rule of law and protecting the democratic process from what he perceives as unconstitutional attacks. As the legal battles unfold, the implications for both the former president and the broader electoral system remain to be seen.
