Navy sailor repeatedly tried to see Biden’s medical records
Welcome to the Boston Post News, where we bring you the latest updates on a wide range of topics, including recent incidents involving the U.S. Navy and President Biden’s medical records. In a recent development, it has come to light that a junior Navy sailor made three attempts to access the President’s medical records from a military database in February. However, the sailor was unable to retrieve any information and was subsequently disciplined by the Navy.
According to reports, the sailor, whose identity remains undisclosed, serves in the Navy’s hospital corps at Fort Belvoir in Virginia, a prominent medical center. The unauthorized access attempts were made on February 23, but fortunately, the sailor did not succeed in accessing any of President Biden’s personal information. Navy Commander Tim Hawkins assured that the President’s data remained secure throughout the incident.
Following a report from a co-worker, the Navy Criminal Investigative Service launched an investigation on February 26. During the probe, the sailor admitted to looking up President Biden’s name out of curiosity. Ultimately, it was determined that the sailor never reached the President’s medical records as they are restricted within the system. The investigation concluded on April 24, ensuring that proper measures were taken to prevent any security breaches.
The White House was promptly informed of the incident, with President Biden being notified shortly after the Defense Department flagged the breach. Despite the proximity of the incident to the President’s scheduled annual physical at Walter Reed National Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, White House officials emphasized that the event did not impact the examination.
Following his physical in late February, President Biden was declared “fit for duty” by his physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor. The results mirrored the previous year’s assessment, with no new concerns raised. The President continues to carry out his responsibilities without any exemptions or accommodations, as confirmed by the medical report released on the same day as the physical.
The attempted breach occurred amidst a backdrop of political scrutiny, following a report in early February by special counsel Robert Hur regarding the President’s handling of classified documents. The report did not recommend criminal charges but stirred controversy over President Biden’s fitness for office, with concerns raised about his age and cognitive abilities.
This incident reignited demands for mental competency tests for both President Biden and his political opponents, underscoring the ongoing debate over leadership capability in American politics. As the nation navigates through these challenging times, it is essential to remain vigilant about safeguarding sensitive information and upholding the integrity of our institutions.
