Navy says sailor tried to look at Biden’s private medical files.
Recently, the news broke that a U.S. Navy sailor tried to access President Biden’s medical records through a government database. This incident has only added fuel to the fire of continuing questions and concerns about the mental capacity of the commander in chief.
The Navy issued a statement confirming the unauthorized access to medical records by an active-duty service member on February 26, 2024. The sailor, assigned to NMRTC Fort Belvoir, searched for ‘Joseph Biden’ in MHS Genesis, the Military Health System’s electronic health record, out of curiosity. However, the sailor was unsuccessful in accessing Biden’s medical records, according to the Navy.
Following the incident, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service was informed and initiated an investigation, which took place on April 24. The sailor faced administrative action as a result of their actions but continues to serve in the Navy.
President Biden, amidst growing concerns about his mental fitness and cognitive ability, undertook an unannounced visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for a physical examination just two days after the attempted breach of his medical records. White House physician Kevin O’Connor provided reassurance in a letter, stating that the neurologic exam conducted on Feb. 28 showed no signs consistent with any cerebellar or central neurological disorder.
Adding to the scrutiny, Dr. Kevin Cannard, a neurologist specializing in Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders, recently conducted annual physical examinations at the White House, addressing concerns about the president’s health and mental sharpness.
Despite these reassurances, President Biden’s mental and physical health continues to be a topic of debate and speculation, especially following a series of missteps and his performance at last month’s presidential debate where he appeared flustered and confused.
As the scrutiny surrounding President Biden’s mental capacity persists, a recent poll revealed that a majority of voters believe he is cognitively unfit to serve as president. Concerns about his ability to fulfill his duties have intensified, leading to increased calls for transparency and accountability regarding his health and cognitive well-being.
In the face of mounting scrutiny, the Biden administration has reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and openness regarding the president’s health. However, questions still linger about his mental acuity and whether he is fit to lead the nation.
With the 2024 election looming on the horizon, the debate over President Biden’s mental and physical fitness is likely to remain a central point of contention. The American people are demanding clarity and honesty when it comes to their leader’s well-being, and it is up to the administration to provide the answers they seek.
Only time will tell how President Biden’s health and cognitive abilities will impact his ability to govern effectively in the months and years ahead. The eyes of the nation are watching, eager for reassurance and certainty in uncertain times.
