New group will fund and support whistleblowers in elections.

The Fair Election Fund, a newly established nonprofit organization, has set out on a mission to uphold election integrity by rewarding whistleblowers who witness corruption firsthand during the election process. This initiative aims to focus on election organizers and concerned citizens who have direct insight into the inner workings of elections and will compensate and validate whistleblowers who report irregularities in the system.

According to a press release from the Fair Election Fund, a significant portion of the organization’s budget will be allocated towards compensating whistleblowers such as election workers, organizers, and concerned citizens for sharing their experiences of corruption. The organization has assembled a team of experienced election law attorneys to review and verify all claims made by whistleblowers. Moreover, the Fair Election Fund plans to publicize these cases through robust paid and earned media campaigns, with the first campaign already underway.

A newly released advertisement by the Fair Election Fund emphasizes the importance of elections as the foundation of the American democratic system. It stresses the crucial role of trust in the electoral process to instill confidence in the outcomes, highlighting that trust may be eroded by instances of abuse and malpractice within the system.

The advertisement points to several concerns, including efforts by the Biden administration to register voters, potential risks of registering illegal immigrants and individuals ineligible to vote, as well as initiatives in various cities to grant non-citizens voting rights. Additionally, the ad raises apprehensions about the absence of voter identification requirements in certain regions, attempts to restrict voter ID regulations, issues related to drop boxes, mail-in ballots, and other vulnerabilities in the electoral system.

An official familiar with the initiative stated in a press release that the lack of integrity in American elections can be attributed to frontline workers’ fears of repercussions for speaking out against those in power. The Fair Election Fund seeks to address this issue by establishing a $5 million fund to compensate and safeguard individuals who step forward to expose fraud and misconduct within the electoral system, aiming to combat corruption, rebuild trust with the public, and promote transparency.

Notably, the Heritage Foundation has compiled a database documenting approximately 1,500 cases of confirmed voter fraud, resulting in nearly 1,300 criminal convictions. Zack Smith, a senior legal fellow at the Heritage Foundation, emphasized the significance of secure elections, noting that even a single ineligible or illegal vote can sway the outcome of an election, particularly at the local level.
