Nikki Haley believes Trump is the Republican nominee.

Nikki Haley, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, recently expressed her support for former President Donald Trump’s policies while acknowledging her disagreements with his communication style. In a recent interview with CBS News’ “Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan,” Haley discussed Trump’s remarks regarding writer E. Jean Carroll and other women who have accused him of sexual misconduct.

During the interview, Brennan questioned Haley about Trump’s focus on airing grievances against women and the impact it may have on women voters. In response, Haley emphasized her focus on policy rather than personal disagreements with Trump’s approach. Despite not always agreeing with Trump’s style, Haley highlighted her support for his policies.

Haley clarified that her decision to run for president stemmed from her belief in her ability to do a better job than both Biden and Trump. While acknowledging Trump as the Republican nominee, she also compared him to Democratic nominee Kamala Harris. Despite differing in style and approach, Haley emphasized her agreement with Trump on significant policy issues.

When asked about her involvement in Trump’s campaign, Haley revealed that she has not been asked to campaign for him and is not officially advising the campaign. However, she mentioned being “on standby” and expressed her willingness to help if needed. Despite past disagreements with Trump, Haley offered her strong endorsement of him at the Republican convention in June.

Looking ahead to the upcoming debate between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, Haley stated that she is not advising the president but is ready to assist if requested. She emphasized that the decision lies with Trump regarding his campaign direction, but she remains prepared to offer support if he so chooses.

As the political landscape continues to evolve, Haley’s stance on supporting Trump’s policies while maintaining differences in style showcases the complexities of political alliances. Despite nuances in individual preferences and approaches, Haley’s commitment to policy alignment underscores the importance of prioritizing governance over personal disagreements.
