Reports show Fetterman has speeding tickets and allegedly uses phone while driving.

It was a fateful Sunday night when Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., was reportedly seen driving at a “high rate of speed” before rear-ending another car on Interstate 70 in Maryland, highlighting a pattern of reckless driving behaviors exhibited by the senator in the past.

The car crash involving Fetterman and his wife, Gisele, occurred in the early hours in Maryland, specifically in the area of westbound I-70 near I-68, situated between Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Authorities conducting a preliminary investigation revealed that a Chevrolet Traverse, in which Fetterman and his wife were traveling, was speeding significantly above the posted speed limit before colliding with a Chevrolet Impala that morning. Fetterman was deemed at fault for the accident.

Both vehicles involved in the crash were towed from the scene, and Fetterman, Gisele, and the other driver were transported to the hospital to receive treatment for minor injuries, as noted by police reports.

After the incident, the 54-year-old senator released a video on X, thanking well-wishers and revealing that they were commemorating their 16th wedding anniversary at the time of the crash, making it a day to remember for all the wrong reasons.

This recent episode wasn’t the first instance of unsafe driving attributed to Fetterman. Earlier in the year, he admitted guilt to a citation in Pennsylvania for driving 34 mph above the legal speed limit. The Washington Post disclosed that Fetterman had previously received a speeding ticket in 2016 for exceeding the speed limit by at least 24 mph.

In a recent interview with NBC News, Fetterman made a surprising declaration, stating that he does not identify as a progressive, a statement that raised eyebrows and prompted further scrutiny of his political alignment.

Following his guilty plea for speeding earlier in the year, Fetterman was mandated to complete a driver’s improvement course to address his driving habits. Reports from individuals familiar with decisions made by Fetterman’s staff anonymously revealed that the senator had been using FaceTime and texting while driving, actions that raised concerns among the staff members.

Moreover, it was disclosed that Fetterman’s aides refrained from contacting him while he was driving due to his alleged habit of texting and driving, indicating a troubling trend in the senator’s behavior behind the wheel.

When questioned about these allegations, a spokesperson for Fetterman dismissed the claims as inaccurate gossip, while declining to offer further details or clarification on the matter.

As the aftermath of the car crash continues to unfold, the spotlight on Fetterman’s driving history and actions behind the wheel only intensifies, raising questions about the responsibilities of public figures and the importance of safe driving practices for all individuals, regardless of their status or position.
