Republican pollster Frank Luntz is in awe of how Vice President Kamala Harris has completely turned around the Democratic Party’s prospects ever since she assumed the role at the top of the presidential ticket. According to Luntz, his focus groups have indicated that Harris has managed to excite voters who were previously disenchanted by the contest between President Joe Biden and Republican nominee Donald Trump. Undecided voters are now swaying towards her.

In an interview on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” Luntz expressed his astonishment, stating that he has never witnessed such a rapid transformation in his entire lifetime, emphasizing that Harris possesses an “intensity advantage.” He went on to explain that he initially thought Trump was poised to defeat Biden, but without a change in messaging to counter Harris, Republicans risk losing not only the presidency but also the Senate and the House.

Despite the polls indicating a close race for the presidency, Harris has been steadily closing the gap that Trump held in crucial battleground states within a month of Biden stepping down and throwing his support behind her. Luntz confessed to facing difficulties in recruiting younger female voters who still claim to be “undecided” for his focus groups due to the significant surge in Harris’ popularity.

Luntz further elaborated, “There are issues, attributes, and the conditions of the country at play here. The issues and conditions might favor Donald Trump, suggesting that he should be leading in this election. However, the attributes are so heavily in favor of Harris that he is falling behind.”
