Ryan Murphy Willing to Collaborate with Taylor Swift Without Hesitation

Ryan Murphy, the renowned TV creator and writer, has shown his admiration for Taylor Swift by casting her NFL champion boyfriend, Travis Kelce, in his latest FX series, Grotesquerie. Kelce will be playing the role of Ed “Eddie” Laclan, a flirty but helpful hospital employee in the show. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Murphy disclosed that he has approached Swift’s team multiple times in the past to collaborate. He expressed his admiration for Swift, labeling her as one of the greats in the industry.

Murphy even paid a subtle tribute to Swift in Grotesquerie, with a reference to her Red album and the song “Getaway Car” in episode three. Swift, known for her music, has also dipped her toes in acting, appearing in films like Valentine’s Day (2010), Cats (2019), and Amsterdam (2022).

Grotesquerie, which airs on Thursdays, follows the story of a small community unsettled by a series of heinous crimes. Detective Lois Tryon, portrayed by Niecy Nash-Betts, feels a personal connection to the crimes and seeks help from Sister Megan. As they delve deeper into the mysteries, they find themselves engulfed in a sinister web of enigmas.

Kelce, a key player for the Kansas City Chiefs, is expanding his portfolio with entertainment ventures. Prime Video has announced that Kelce will host the upcoming game show, Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, a spin-off of Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? Contestants will team up with celebrities to tackle elementary-school-level questions for a chance to win $100,000.
