Sabrina Carpenter’s Song ‘Please Please Please’ Tops U.K. Chart Midweek.
Sabrina Carpenter’s summer seems to be on fire as she inches closer to achieving her second U.K. No. 1 this year with her latest single “Please Please Please.” The Official Charts Company’s sales and streaming data suggest that Sabrina is about to make a significant mark on the music scene once again.
The talented U.S. singer and actor is poised to reach the top spot with her new release, potentially securing a rare 1-2 ranking. Sabrina’s previous hit “Espresso” performed exceptionally well, holding the national tally’s top position for five consecutive weeks and is expected to settle at No. 2 once again.
On the other hand, Eminem’s track “Houdini” from Interscope has recently become the longest-reigning single for the Detroit Rap God, maintaining a strong presence for two weeks. Eminem’s “Houdini” is anticipated to secure the third position on the charts, dropping from its previous No. 1 spot.
Myles Smith’s U.K. breakout hit “Stargazing” under RCA is also gaining momentum, set to achieve its highest peak yet by climbing to spot No. 6 on the charts.
Taylor Swift’s ongoing The Eras Tour in the U.K. is not only captivating audiences but also impacting the music charts. Songs like “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone are on the verge of re-entering the top tier at No. 10, while “Cruel Summer” follows closely behind at No. 13.
Swift’s latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department” released under EMI, is racing towards securing its seventh U.K. chart crown. Leading the Official Albums Chart Update, it currently holds a slight lead of over 1,100 chart units ahead of Billie Eilish’s former No. 1 album “Hit Me Hard And Soft” from Interscope.
The upcoming albums survey is expected to see the highest new entry from Paul McCartney & Wings with “One Hand Clapping,” a compilation of previously unreleased works recorded at Abbey Road Studios in 1973. Debuting at No. 3 on the chart blast, it is likely to mark the band’s ninth appearance in the U.K. top 10.
Various other artists are vying for a top 10 spot, including Sea Girls with “Midnight Butterflies” at No. 4 via Alt, Fred again..’s “USB” making a significant leap of 171 places to No. 6 via Atlantic, the late David Bowie with the posthumous boxed set “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star!” at No. 7 via Parlophone, and U.S. country star Luke Combs’ “Fathers & Sons” at No. 8 via Sony Music CG.
