Senator criticizes Republican press release by bragging about his cars.

Senator Jon Tester of Montana found himself in the spotlight after the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) criticized him for his choice of vehicle in Washington, D.C. Tester, known as a Montana farmer, revealed that he owns a total of nine vehicles, responding heatedly to the NRSC’s press release titled “BOMBSHELL: Jon Tester drives a Prius.”

In a fiery statement, Tester lashed out at the NRSC for their headline, calling them “a bunch of jacka–es.” He went on to list his other vehicles, including an ’86 Chevy, a 2018 GMC, a 2018 Honda Ridgeline, a Celica, a Peterbilt, a ’67 International truck, a ’96 International truck, and a ’78 GMC.

Defending his choice to drive a Prius, Tester mentioned that he spends a significant amount on diesel for his farming activities. Despite his explanations, the NRSC continued to mock him on social media, with communications director Monica Robinson defending Tester’s hobby of restoring old cars with his son.

In response to the backlash, NRSC spokesperson Maggie Abboud criticized Tester, labeling him as a “swamp creature.” This sentiment was echoed by NRSC communications director Mike Berg, who described Tester as being “very mad” and a “multimillionaire swamp creature.”
