Shaboozey and Taylor Swift are the top artists on Australia’s music charts.

Sometimes, all it takes is a little time to reach the top, and that was certainly the case for Shaboozey, who has finally been crowned on Australia’s singles chart after 11 weeks of climbing. His track, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”, soared from the 2nd spot to claiming the number 1 position. This achievement marks the U.S. artist’s first time at the top spot in the land Down Under. The song, which cleverly interpolates J-Kwon’s hit track “Tipsy” that peaked at No. 5 back in 2004, received an extra boost after Shaboozey performed it alongside the American rapper at the recent BET Awards on Sunday, June 30th.

On a different note, Sabrina Carpenter’s tenure at the top has come to an end as the U.S. singer and actor’s previous chart-toppers, “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” (both via Island/Universal), now find themselves at the 1st and 3rd position respectively, making room for new contenders to rise to the occasion.

One such contender making waves on the latest ARIA Singles Chart is The Kid Laroi with his latest track “Girls” (Columbia/Sony), which debuts impressively at No. 21. This marks the 20th appearance of the Sydney-raised singer and rapper on the ARIA Top 50, a remarkable feat that includes two No. 1 hits – “Without You” and “Stay” featuring Justin Bieber. Additionally, LAROI’s “Nights Like This” continues to climb, reaching a new peak at No. 26 on the current chart.

Stepping into the world of albums, Taylor Swift continues her reign at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart with “The Tortured Poets Department” (Universal), securing a fifth non-consecutive week in the coveted spot. Swift’s success underscores the dominance of female artists on the ARIA Chart this year, with 24 out of 27 weeks being ruled by talented women in the music industry. TayTay has played a significant role in this female-dominated landscape, claiming the No. 1 position for 15 of those weeks with albums like “1989 (Taylor’s Version)”, “Midnights”, “Lover”, and “The Tortured Poets Department”.

The latest ARIA Chart also welcomes new entries from notable artists such as Omar Apollo with “God Said No” debuting at No. 11, Imagine Dragons with “Loom” at No. 17, Camila Cabello’s “C, XOXO” at No. 29, and Melbourne’s Grammy-nominated neo-soul band Hiatus Kaiyote with “Love Heart Cheat Code” entering the chart at No. 40. This vibrant mix of new music showcases the diversity and talent present in the music industry, ensuring listeners have a wide array of sounds to choose from and enjoy.
