Taylor Swift announces new single from ‘Tortured Poets’ album
Taylor Swift, amidst her sensational Eras Tour in Europe, has just unveiled the next single from her album ‘The Tortured Poets Department.’ The chosen track is none other than the seemingly upbeat but emotionally charged “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”
The announcement came through a post on Taylor Nation’s official account on Tuesday (July 16). The statement reads, “We’re feeling the blues like it’s #ICanDoItWithABrokenHeart’s birthday every day! But today marks a special occasion as Taylor has declared it the next single from #TSTTPD!” accompanied by a glimpse of the new solo artwork for the song. “Lights, camera, action, listen in to see the adorable new cover on all streaming platforms.”
The cover showcases Swift radiating joy while performing the song during one of her Eras shows, clad in a sparkly top and blazer with showgirl feathers accentuating her look. Penned and shared following the commencement of her tour in 2022, “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” captures Swift boosting her morale to take the stage night after night in front of massive crowds despite enduring the aftermath of a heart-wrenching breakup.
“I’m a resilient individual, I can handle my struggles. They said, ‘Darling, you have to fake it until you make it’ and so I did,” she croons. “Breaking down, I fell to the ground. All the fragments of me shattered as the audience chanted, ‘More!’”
