Reports from the Associated Press revealed that Merseyside police had arrested a 17-year-old boy from Cardiff in connection with the incident at the community center. Following the attack in the seaside town near Liverpool, a knife was seized, and the suspect was taken into custody on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. CNN reported that two children lost their lives on Monday, with a third succumbing to injuries the following day. The police confirmed, “The nine-year-old girl died in the hospital in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday, 30 July. We can confirm that the children who died yesterday were girls aged six and seven years. Eight other children suffered stab wounds during the attack, with five of them in critical condition. Additionally, two adults sustained critical injuries while trying to shield the children from harm.”
