Taylor Swift releases acoustic version of song with Post Malone called ‘Fortnight’
Taylor Swift continues to surprise her fans with new variations of her music. Just recently, on Monday (July 8), she released an acoustic version of her song “Fortnight” from The Tortured Poets Department, featuring none other than Post Malone. This stripped-down version of the track, which is part of Swift’s latest chart-topping album, showcases the two artists’ vocals over a serene and unplugged arrangement.
This new rendition of “Fortnight” comes alongside the original album version and a remix by the New York duo, Cults. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday morning (July 9), Cults shared the striking cover image of the single, where Swift is seen sporting Post Malone’s iconic face tattoos, and expressed their gratitude to the pop sensation for involving them in her musical universe.
“Honored to have been given the opportunity to remix the legendary @taylorswift’s song ‘Fortnight,'” Cults wrote in their post.
These latest remix and acoustic versions are just the newest additions to the extensive range of physical variants that the double album has been released in, including multiple CD, vinyl, cassette, and deluxe editions.
While Swift continues to delight her fans with new music, her Eras Tour is also in full swing. The tour had its first of two shows at the Stadion Letzigrund Zurich on Tuesday (July 9), proving that Swift’s music is as timeless and captivating as ever.
