Taylor Swift releases behind-the-scenes video with Post Malone for song “Fortnite”

Post Malone had a unique encounter with a typewriter on the set of “Fortnight,” which has now sparked a newfound love for the old-school writing machine. Taylor Swift shared a hilarious moment from behind the scenes of The Tortured Poets Department’s lead single, featuring her collaboration with the rapper, in a recently released video on Friday (June 21).

The video starts with the 14-time Grammy winner filming the scene where she hurls a white metal cart at a two-way mirror in a stark white room. However, unlike in the final video where the glass shatters and Swift stands resolute, in this behind-the-scenes glimpse, the cart bounces back at her, causing her to flinch and laugh at the camera.

While in the same room, the camera shifts to Swift explaining the concept of the first scene. “This is essentially taking place in the Tortured Poets Department, a government municipal building where they study the behaviors and minds of poets,” she describes. “One of the stereotypes about poets over the years is that people thought they were crazy.”

She then goes on to showcase a scene where Post Malone and her are seated across from each other, each working on a typewriter. Introducing Posty to the traditional contraption, not the modern electric ones, she shows him how to move the paper shelf to start a new line. Amazed, Post Malone exclaims, “All you do is move it! This is amazing! I feel very steampunk!”

Swift, 34, jokingly points out to her 28-year-old collaborator, “We don’t work on typewriters! Millennials don’t see that s–t!”

Not content with just watching, Post Malone asks her, “How do you get a shift” — his jaw dropping in surprise — “What the hell! I’m buying this right now! This is too much fun. Ya’ll shouldn’t have let me play!”

As the behind-the-scenes video concludes, Swift and Post Malone review a shot together. “Look at this! You don’t see happiness from either of us, and then we come around and find you!” Swift exclaims. “You went nuts! Look at this! Ooooh! No tats and so happy!”

“It’s f–king amazing! It’s amazing. I think it’s stunning,” Post Malone responds as the pop star screams in delight at the progress of the video, before applauding her work and giving her a high-five. “One Take Tay!”
