Taylor Swift’s ‘Fortnight’ Debuts at Number 1 on U.K. Charts.

It’s a spectacular double win for Taylor Swift on the U.K. chart, with The Tortured Poets Department (EMI) securing the No. 1 spot while the American pop icon dominates three out of the top four spots on the national singles survey, including the coveted top position.

Taylor Swift’s latest collaboration with Post Malone, “Fortnight,” makes a grand entrance at No. 1 on the Official Chart released on Friday, April 26, surpassing Hozier’s “Too Sweet” (Island) which slips down to No. 2. Additionally, the title track from The Tortured Poets Department debuts impressively at No. 3.

With this remarkable achievement, Taylor Swift achieves her third U.K. chart double, following her previous successes with “Midnights” and “Anti-Hero” in 2022, as well as “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” and “Is It Over Now? (Taylor’s Version)” in 2023.

“Fortnight” marks Taylor Swift’s fourth U.K. No. 1 single, following “Look What You Made Me Do,” “Anti-Hero,” and “Is It Over Now? (Taylor’s Version),” while it is Post Malone’s second chart-topper and first in seven years since “Rockstar” in 2017.

Moreover, Taylor Swift’s track “Down Bad” secures the No. 4 spot on debut, elevating her career total of top-tier hits to an impressive 28, with regulations limiting the number of songs eligible from any one album to three on the U.K. singles chart.

American artist Sabrina Carpenter continues to rise with her track “Espresso” (Island), climbing to a career-best No. 5 position on the U.K. chart.

Further down the rankings, Drake’s diss track aimed at Kendrick Lamar, “Push Ups” (OVO/Republic Records), debuts at No. 14, marking the Canadian hip-hop artist’s 93rd top 40 single in the U.K.

Adding to the mix is U.S. country artist Shaboozey, whose track “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” (via American Dogwood/Empire) climbs from 41 to 16 on the U.K. chart, gaining visibility after being featured on Beyoncé’s chart-topping album, Cowboy Carter. Meanwhile, Dasha’s “Austin” (Warner Records) holds strong in the top 10, slipping from 7 to 10.

Lastly, “Cry No More” (Columbia) by Headie One in collaboration with Stormzy and Tay Keith enters the U.K. chart at No. 33, marking Headie’s 16th appearance, Stormzy’s 31st, and Tay Keith’s second top 40 hit in the U.K.
