Taylor Swift’s new song “Fortnight” is now on the Adult Pop Airplay Chart.
Taylor Swift has once again made a triumphant entry onto Billboard’s Adult Pop Airplay chart with her latest single “Fortnight,” featuring Post Malone. The song debuted at an impressive No. 9, tying the record for the highest arrival in the chart’s 27-year history, matching Swift’s own hit “Shake It Off” from 2014.
As the lead single from Swift’s upcoming album “The Tortured Poets Department,” “Fortnight” has secured the singer her 31st top 10 hit on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, solidly placing her ahead of Maroon 5, who hold the second spot with 27 top 10 hits. For Post Malone, this track marks his fifth top 10 entry on the chart.
Not stopping there, “Fortnight” has also rocketed onto the Pop Airplay chart at No. 13, tying with “Bad Blood” for Swift’s second-highest debut on this chart. The only songs to have debuted higher than “Fortnight” and “Bad Blood” are “Shake It Off” and Mariah Carey’s “Dreamlover.” Both of which made a grand entrance at No. 12.
Over on the Adult Contemporary chart, “Fortnight” lands at No. 16, marking Swift’s second-best start, tying with “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” from 2012. Swift’s track “Anti-Hero” had previously made an entrance at No. 14 in 2022.

“Fortnight” has been dominating the airwaves since its release on April 19, with major radio stations like WHTZ (Z100) New York and KIIS Los Angeles dedicating hours exclusively to songs from the album “The Tortured Poets Department.”
Not only has “Fortnight” been making waves, but two other tracks from the album have also made their debut on the Adult Pop Airplay chart. “My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys” enters at No. 36, while “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” follows closely behind at No. 37. Stations like WWMX Baltimore and WTMX Chicago have been instrumental in supporting these new releases, with the former also entering the Pop Airplay chart at No. 40.
As reports suggest, “The Tortured Poets Department,” released under Republic Records, has broken the single-week streaming record in the U.S. within its first six days of release. The album’s deluxe edition boasted 31 songs that generated a whopping 799 million on-demand official streams in the U.S. from April 19 to 24.
Additionally, the album achieved 2.5 million equivalent album units in the U.S. during its first six days, with traditional album sales accounting for 1.85 million of that total.
Final figures for the album’s first week are set to be announced by Billboard this weekend, with expectations of a high debut on the multi-metric Billboard 200 albums chart. The unveiling of the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart is scheduled for Monday.
Stay tuned for the updated Billboard charts dated May 4, which will be available on Tuesday, April 30, on Billboard.com.
