Taylor Swift’s song ‘All Too Well’ made him cry a lot.

Even Hollywood heartthrob Ryan Gosling couldn’t hold back the waterworks when it came to Taylor Swift’s emotional ballad, “All Too Well.” Sharing a candid moment from the set of his upcoming film, The Fall Guy, Gosling revealed in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly that a scene involving his character, Colt, having a cathartic cry while listening to the song was, unfortunately, left on the cutting room floor due to an overflow of tears.

Recalling the emotional moment, Gosling confessed, “I remember I cried too hard, and they cut it out. There were so many tears. It was a moment for Colt to really get it out. ‘All Too Well’ came on, and he had a good car cry. I mean, he’d been through a lot. He was jet-lagged.” It seems even tough guys like Colt need a good cry every now and then.

Adding to the revelation, Gosling’s co-star Emily Blunt joked about the excessive amount of tears that were ultimately edited out of the scene. “The amount of tears they cut in post was almost hysterical, actually,” she quipped. It seems Colt’s emotional breakdown was truly a sight to behold.

“The Barbie star continued musing on the power of music to evoke strong emotions, especially when you find yourself alone in your car. “So yeah, that song comes on, you’re going to let it rip. A little Taylor Swift comes on, you’re alone in your car in the parking lot…” Gosling shared, highlighting the vulnerability and relatability of moments like these.

In a separate interview, Gosling expressed his admiration for “All Too Well,” revealing that it holds a special place in his heart as his favorite Taylor Swift track. Meanwhile, Blunt disclosed that she has a preference for the upbeat “Cruel Summer,” showcasing the diverse musical tastes of the film’s cast.

Following their interviews, Gosling and Blunt surprised fans with a hilarious rendition of “All Too Well” during Gosling’s hosting gig on Saturday Night Live. The spoof version earned high praise from Swift herself, who took to Instagram to share her delight, writing, “All Too Well (Ryan and Emily’s Version)!!! Watch me accidentally catch myself singing this version on tour. This monologue is everything.” The camaraderie and playful spirit between the stars shone through in their performance.
