Taylor Swift’s “Tortured Poets” remains at the top spot for fourth week

Taylor Swift continues her reign on top in Australia with her record-breaking album “The Tortured Poets Department” by Universal. On the other hand, Post Malone makes a triumphant entry to the national singles chart with his track “I Had Some Help” featuring Morgan Wallen, claiming the number one spot.

Swift’s unbeatable album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” maintains its position at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart for the fourth consecutive week, overshadowing Troy Cassar-Daley’s new release, “Between The Fires” under Sony.

Cassar-Daley, a celebrated country music icon, poured his heart and soul into recording the new album at his childhood home in Halfway Creek, northern New South Wales, where he tragically lost his mother. “Between The Fires” marks Cassar-Daley’s 14th studio album, delving into deeply personal themes. Debuting at number two, it becomes his highest-charting solo album tied with his previous success, “The Great Country Songbook,” a collaboration with Adam Harvey. Throughout his three-decade-long career, Cassar-Daley has amassed an impressive collection of awards, including five ARIAs and 40 Golden Guitar trophies.

In other exciting news, Olivia Rodrigo’s upcoming Australian arena tour announcement has sparked a resurgence in her albums’ rankings. Her sophomore album “Guts” by Geffen/Universal climbs to number three, while her debut “Sour” under Interscope/Universal rises to number four on the ARIA Chart. Both albums have previously claimed the top spot. Rodrigo’s GUTS World Tour, produced by Live Nation, is set to expand with additional shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

Sibling duo Angus & Julia Stone make a splash with their latest album “Cape Forestier” by Sony, debuting at an impressive number five on the chart. This success adds to their track record of all five studio albums reaching the top 10, including hits like “Down The Way” and “Angus & Julia Stone” from previous years.

Turning the spotlight on the ARIA Singles Chart, Post Malone’s country-infused track “I Had Some Help” featuring Wallen secures the top position, marking another chart-topping success for the artist. Malone, known for hits like “Fortnight” with Taylor Swift, and Wallen, who previously dominated with “Last Night,” continue to captivate listeners with their collaborations.

Other notable mentions on the singles chart include Tommy Richman’s “Million Dollar Baby” under CONC and Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by EMP holding steady at numbers two and three, respectively.

Rounding off the chart update, Kendrick Lamar’s controversial track “Not Like Us” by Interscope/Universal sees a significant rise from number 5 to 9. ARIA reports that this marks Lamar’s first appearance in the top five since “Die Hard” reached number 5 in 2022, showcasing the artist’s enduring impact on the music scene.
