Taylor Swift’s Vienna Concert Tickets Refund Information Released
After the unfortunate cancellation of three Taylor Swift concerts in Vienna due to a terrorist threat, ticketing companies are now working to ensure that ticket holders receive their refunds promptly. The concerts, which were scheduled to take place this weekend, had to be called off following the arrest of two suspects who were reportedly planning an attack on the shows.
Austrian ticketer oeticket issued a statement on its website explaining the situation and assuring fans that all tickets would be automatically refunded within the next 10 working days. This decision was made in light of the confirmation of a planned terrorist attack in the Ernst Happel Stadium, where the concerts were supposed to be held.
The concert promoter, Barracuda Music, also shared the same message regarding the cancellation of the shows and the refund process. Unfortunately, specific details about how oeticket refunds will be processed were not available at the time of publication.
The arrests of the suspects came shortly after police confirmed that a 19-year-old Austrian citizen was apprehended for planning a terrorist attack in Vienna, with Taylor Swift’s concert being the target. Another suspect, a teenager, was also arrested later in the day, as reported by ABC News.
The Vienna concerts would have been a significant part of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, marking the second-to-last stop on the European leg before heading to London’s Wembley Stadium for a five-night run. Despite the unfortunate events in Vienna, UK officials reassured the public that there is no indication of any terror threats affecting the upcoming shows in London scheduled for August 15-20.
Looking ahead, Taylor Swift is set to return to North America in October for the final leg of her tour, with shows in the U.S. and Canada before wrapping up the global Eras Tour with a performance in Vancouver on December 8.
