TikToker Harry Daniels Serenades Charlie Puth with Taylor Swift Song
Taylor Swift recently praised Charlie Puth in her song “The Tortured Poets Department,” but the singer found himself in an amusingly confusing situation during his latest fan encounter.
In a comical TikTok video shared by Harry Daniels, a serial serenader, Puth’s bewildered expression is captured as Daniels approaches him from behind a fence and starts belting out Swift’s lyrics from “Tortured Poets” – a track where Swift gives a shout-out to Puth.
“You smoked then ate seven bars of chocolate/ We declared Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist,” Daniels sings in a dramatic tone.
“What is this?” Puth utters with a puzzled look on his face, as Daniels quickly walks away, leaving Puth bewildered.
Daniels is known for surprising musicians with impromptu performances of their own songs. In April, he made waves at Coachella by serenading artists like Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani, Paris Hilton, Tyga, Becky G, Reneé Rapp, and Dylan Minnette from Wallows.
“I’ve never released a song like this before,” Daniels wrote on Instagram recently. “It’s a departure from my usual style, but I have to thank Taylor Swift for inspiring me to share this music with the world.”
“My new song ‘HERO’ touches on the pain of watching someone you care about self-destruct, destroying everything good in their life, yet feeling helpless to save them,” he explained. “I’m thrilled to unveil my upcoming album, with this song being a glimpse of what’s to come.”
