Trump and Biden argue over golf skills to show voters they’re still fit for presidency.

President Biden and former President Trump went head-to-head on the CNN presidential debate stage, but they hinted at another kind of showdown – this time on the golf course.

During the CNN Presidential Debate, CNN moderator Dana Bash brought up the ages Biden and Trump would be at the end of a potential second term. Biden would be 86, while Trump would be 82.

Biden defended his age by stating, “I spent half my career being criticized about being the youngest person in politics. I was the second youngest person ever elected to the United States Senate, and now I’m the oldest. This guy is three years younger and a lot less competent.”

But Trump was quick to remind everyone that he has taken two cognitive tests, which he claims to have aced. He challenged Biden to take a cognitive test himself, emphasizing his own good health and fitness.

Trump, an enthusiastic golfer, boasted about his recent wins in two club championships, emphasizing his skill and intelligence required for the game. He challenged Biden to a golf match, confidently stating that Biden couldn’t hit a ball 50 yards.

Trump expressed his confidence in his physical shape, mentioning that he feels as good as he did 25 to 30 years ago, if not better. However, Biden wasn’t one to back down and countered Trump’s challenge with his own offer for a driving contest.

Biden shared that his handicap was down to a six when he was vice president and offered to play golf with Trump if he carried his own bag. Trump immediately called out what he believed was a lie, prompting Biden to correct himself and say he was actually an eight handicap.

As the banter continued, with both men playfully teasing each other about their golf swings and abilities, it became clear that a potential golf match between the two could be just as intense as any political debate.
