Trump and Harris will debate on Sept. 10, with Trump suggesting two additional dates.

The upcoming presidential debates are shaping up to be some of the most highly anticipated events in recent political history. Republican nominee Donald Trump has proposed a series of three debates to be held on different television networks in September. This proposal comes after some back and forth between the Trump and Harris campaigns regarding the debate schedule.

Speaking from his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, Trump announced that his campaign has agreed to participate in three debates, hosted by Fox News, ABC News, and NBC News. The ABC News debate on Sept. 10 is the only one in which the Harris campaign has also confirmed their participation.

Initially, Trump had dropped out of the ABC News debate scheduled for Sept. 10, citing concerns about the format. However, he has since reversed his decision and confirmed his participation. Vice President Kamala Harris responded by stating that she would honor the original agreement to participate in the Sept. 10 debate.

According to a campaign adviser, the Fox News debate is now scheduled for Sept. 4, although Harris has not yet agreed to this date. The NBC News debate, which Trump has also agreed to, is set for Sept. 25. Discussions between the Trump and Harris campaigns and the networks are ongoing to finalize the details.

Trump emphasized the importance of these debates, stating that both campaigns should come together for a series of three debates. He also mentioned that CBS News will host a vice presidential debate next month, with his running mate Senator JD Vance participating. The Harris campaign has also agreed to the vice presidential debate, highlighting the significance of these events in shaping the future of the country.

The first Trump-Biden debate in June was a pivotal moment that led to Biden’s exit from the race and Harris stepping in as the Democratic nominee. This history adds even more weight to the upcoming debates and the impact they could have on the outcome of the election.
