Trump campaign appreciates White House confirming there is unity between Harris and Biden. Kamala created the problem.
The Trump campaign is rallying around White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, emphasizing that there is no “daylight” between President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. They argue that this statement underscores the idea that “Kamala owns the border crisis” and other major issues affecting the country.
Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt took to X on Monday afternoon to thank @PressSec for confirming that there is no distinction between Kamala and Joe. She posted a clip of Jean-Pierre stating that Biden and Harris have been “aligned” and there’s no separation between the two.
Responding to a question during the White House press briefing, Jean-Pierre highlighted the alignment between Biden and Harris over the last three and a half years, emphasizing that there is no “daylight” between them.
The discussion arose in the context of a potential policy review process between Biden and Harris as the president nears the end of his term, while Harris continues to garner support for her presidential bid in November.
Leavitt seized on the opportunity to assert that Harris and Biden are indistinguishable, blaming Harris for issues such as the ongoing illegal immigration crisis at the southern border and the inflation crisis affecting everyday essentials like food, rent, and gas.
Former President Trump has also criticized the Harris campaign, characterizing the vice president as the driving force behind Biden’s policies.
Meanwhile, Harris, who has not held a press conference since emerging as the frontrunner for the Democratic Party’s presidential ticket, has sought to distance herself from contentious issues like immigration and inflation under the current administration.
A new campaign ad states that Harris has a long history of fighting violent crime, including taking on drug cartels and gang members as a border state prosecutor. It emphasizes her support for tough border control measures and pledges to increase border agents and crack down on fentanyl and human trafficking if elected president.
Despite Harris’s efforts to distinguish herself from the Biden administration, Trump continues to criticize her as a liberal radical who will lead to the destruction of the country if given the opportunity to assume office.
