Trump challenges Biden to second debate with condition

Former President Trump has thrown down the gauntlet, challenging President Biden to another debate, this time with no moderators. In a post on Truth Social, Trump requested a “no holds barred” and “all on” discussion with Biden regarding the future of the nation.

Trump highlighted various issues that he wants Biden to address, such as open borders, men playing in women’s sports, transitioning to all electric vehicles within five years, inflation rates, and more. He expressed his eagerness for a one-on-one debate, stating, “ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, ANYPLACE!!!”

President Biden, who faced criticism for his performance during their first debate, has been urged by Democratic officials, donors, and pundits to step aside in favor of a more capable candidate for the 2024 elections. Despite the pressure, Biden has made it clear that he is not planning to back down, asserting, “I’m not going anywhere,” during a Fourth of July celebration at the White House.

As tensions rise between the two political heavyweights, White House chief of staff Jeff Zients held a meeting encouraging staff members to focus on governance amid the challenges. Despite the difficulties faced after the Atlanta debate, Zients highlighted the accomplishments of the Democratic administration and emphasized the importance of governing effectively, especially as the campaign season progresses.

ABC News is set to host the second debate between Biden and Trump on September 10 at 9 p.m. ET. The moderators for this debate have not yet been announced.
