Trump is willing to debate Biden anywhere, despite avoiding GOP events.

Former President Donald Trump made a bold challenge to President Joe Biden in a recent video posted on Truth Social. Trump expressed his willingness to debate Biden, suggesting they could face off at the White House or in New York after the election interference allegations against him are resolved.

In response, Biden simply said, “Set it up,” indicating his readiness to engage in a debate with his predecessor. This marks a shift in Biden’s earlier stance, where he had mentioned that a debate would hinge on Trump’s behavior.

However, Trump’s busy court schedule may pose a logistical challenge for the potential debate. Currently embroiled in a trial in New York over alleged hush money payment cover-up to Stormy Daniels, Trump’s availability for a debate remains uncertain.

The rivalry between Trump and Biden is not new, as they clashed twice during the 2020 election cycle in heated debates. Their interactions were marked by intense exchanges, including Biden telling Trump to “shut up” as interruptions persisted.

If Trump were to participate in a debate, it would be his first appearance in this campaign cycle. Having opted out of Republican primary events as his competitors exited the race, Trump is now the presumed nominee of the party, with formal confirmation expected at the Republican National Convention in July.
