Trump supports two Republican candidates in Arizona election.

Former president and current Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has made his endorsements in Arizona’s 8th Congressional District, throwing his support behind two Republican candidates. Trump, in a Truth Social post on Sunday, urged his supporters to vote for Abraham Hamadeh or Blake Masters to replace outgoing Republican Rep. Debbie Lesko.

“Blake Masters is a very successful businessman, and an incredibly strong supporter of our Movement to Make America Great Again – He is smart and tough!” Trump told his supporters. “Likewise, Abe Hamadeh, a Veteran, former prosecutor, and fearless fighter for Election Integrity, has been with me all the way!”

Trump emphasized the need for a “true Warrior” in Congress who will work with him on key issues such as growing the economy, stopping inflation, securing the border, ending migrant crime, supporting the military and veterans, and protecting the Second Amendment.

The highly conservative 8th Congressional District in Arizona is crucial as it will likely go to the Republican nominee who wins the primary. Other Republican candidates vying for the seat include former Rep. Trent Franks, Arizona state House Speaker Ben Toma, state Rep. Anthony Kern, and local PTA member Patrick Briody.

The Democratic Party nominee in the district is biosecurity worker Greg Whitten, who is running unopposed for the nomination.

Democrats are looking to unseat vulnerable Republican incumbents in Arizona districts that President Biden carried four years ago. In the 1st Congressional District, Rep. David Schweikert is the front-runner, facing primary rivals including businessman Robert Backie and former FBI agent Kim George.

In the southeastern part of the state, Republican Rep. Juan Ciscomani is running for a second term and will be facing challenger Kathleen Winn in the primary. The winner will go on to face off against Democrat Kisten Engel in November.

Overall, Trump’s endorsements in the 8th Congressional District race in Arizona have added a new layer of excitement to the already intense primary election. The candidates backed by the former president will be striving to live up to his expectations and secure victory in a high-stakes race that will impact the political landscape of the state.
